John Askey hit out at referee Neil Hair after his Port Vale side were held to a 1-1 draw by Salford City. But manager Askey said Vale goalkeeper Scott Brown was fouled in the build up to the equaliser. “I thought in the first half we were definitely the better team, but the second half was a bit scrappy. “Sometimes you have to change the dynamic and give the opposition something to think about, which is what we did with Tom and Richie (Towell). “It was a fantastic ball from Richie and some header from Tom for the equaliser, which I thought we deserved.”
