Job vacancies rose 44pc in the first three months of the year, compared to the same period in 2021. Hotel and catering vacancies saw a rise of 396pc, while remote working opportunities were up 130pc. “That said, we are still seeing growth in job vacancies with an increase of 44pc compared to this time last year. There was strong growth the public sector, with job vacancies up 119pc and secretarial and admin, which grew 101pc. Job growth outside Dublin was high, particularly in Wicklow (+134pc), Kilkenny (+129pc), Kildare (+114pc) and Carlow (+116pc), while vacancies in Dublin were up 38pc year on year.
