(File photo)Forty jobs could be lost at Christchurch-based maintenance company Citycare. The Christchurch City Council-owned company told staff on Thursday it was proposing changes to ensure it was “aligned with its business priorities”. The changes affect staff working in the road construction area. The company merged its Citycare Civil and Citycare Property divisions in November, and a review of the civil-related services has resulted in the proposal to reduce staff numbers. Citycare Property employs 806 staff throughout New Zealand and 445 staff in Christchurch.
