A special job fair will be held exclusively for persons with disabilities (PWDs), offering disadvantaged members of the community in Metro Manila employment, livelihood and training opportunities. According to the Department of Labor and Employment (Dole), nearly 100 private and government agencies were expected to participate in the job fair. ADVERTISEMENTJob seekers who want to pre-qualify for available posts, as well as companies that wish to join the job fair, may register at philjobnet.gov.ph. “The special activity will highlight compliance with the law mandating offices of government to set aside 1percent of the positions [for PWDs],” Dole said. The Department of Trade and Industry and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will also provide livelihood and skills training for qualified PWDs at the job fair.
