Joan Rae Hargis, a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother passed away on December 6, 2025 in Murfreesboro, TN at the age of 90. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Hargis on July 6, 1957 and they remained married for 62 years until his death on May 15, 2018. Joan served as a member of the First Baptist Church of Olean and upon moving to The Villages, Fl joined the North Lake Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her daughter Vicki Hargis of Smyrna, TN; son Kevin Hargis of Olean, NY; three grandchildren, Scott Baham of Gainesville, Fl, Paige Kicklighter of Murfreesboro, TN and Nicholas Hargis of Olean, NY; one great granddaughter, Marlowe Kicklighter of Murfreesboro, TN. The burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery with her husband Thomas Hargis on Monday, January 12, 2026.
