JnU BCL unit suspended over assault on president’s son’s driver


Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Friday suspended the activities of its Jagannath University (JnU) unit, following an assault on the driver of President Abdul Hamid's youngest son. A notification signed by BCL President Al Nahian Khan Joy and General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharya said all activities of the JnU unit BCL are being suspended until further notice. Meanwhile, several leaders of the central committee of the BCL, who did not want to be named, told bdnews24.com that the activities were suspended over the assault. JnU student, 5 others sued for assaulting president’s son’s driverOn June 27, a case was filed against six people, including a student of JnU for the incident. He is an active member of the university unit Chhatra League and is a follower of the general secretary.
