However, it is possible that after Reliance Jio's purchase of assets owned by Reliance Communications (RCom), JioFiber may soon get a launch date. Creating fiber network is not only expensive but also time consuming because it requires laying down cables. And without the fiber network, the JioFiber may not be able to offer the speed of 100mbps that it is promising to start with. This reportedly included the fiber network that Jio had loaned from Rcom. Now it owns the RCom fiber network, so possibility is that it can launch faster and in more areas.
