KUALA LUMPUR: Former world junior champion Goh Jin Wei and KL Sea Games runner-up Soniia Cheah are sure bets for the Asian Team Championships on Feb 6-11 in Alor Star. The tournament doubles up as a qualifier for the Uber Cup Final on May 20-27 in Bangkok. National coach Tey Seu Bock confirmed that Jin Wei and Soniia are in his Asian meet list on Tuesday, but said the two other slots will be decided after three upcoming international tournaments. "We have not finalised our women's Asian meet team, but Jin Wei and Soniia are sure bets for the Uber Cup qualifiers," said Seu Bock at the Malaysia Badminton Academy on Tuesday. "I hope Jin Wei and Soniia along with the others will do well in the upcoming three tournaments to improve our team's overall ranking," he added.
