The Jigawa Government has distributed farm inputs to 32,859 victims of recent flooding in the North-east zone of the state. Alhaji Imamu Mohammed, Chairman, Farm Inputs Distribution Committee in the zone, disclosed this on Monday in an interview. According to Mohammed, the farm inputs included 16,432 bags of fertilizer, 9,100 bags of maize seeds and 5,735 bags of cowpea seeds. He said other items distributed included to the victims, who were predominantly farmers, were 2,300 of watermelon and 900 tomato seeds. “When he visited the victims, he promised to provide farm inputs to them as part of measures put in place to cushion the effect of their losses.
