The New York Jets made the first stunning head-coaching decision of the 2024 season on Tuesday as they reportedly fired Robert Saleh after five games. Jeff Ulbrich will reportedly take over as the team’s interim head coach. Rodgers and Saleh both did gymnastics trying to maintain the line that they had a good relationship. Saleh had been the Jets’ head coach since 2021 after spending four seasons as the San Francisco 49ers’ defensive coordinator. He was 20-36 as the Jets’ head coach and never won more than seven games while at the helm.
