Winnipeg Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey will not face supplemental discipline for his hit on Boston’s Matt Grzelcyk, Tuesday. The NHL told the Winnipeg Sun via email, Wednesday, that Morrissey won’t be suspended or fined for the hit, which drew a five-minute major penalty for boarding. The play occurred at the end of the second period, the Jets leading, 3-1. The Jets have the day off, Wednesday, but are flying to Chicago, where they open their final road trip of the season, Thursday. The win over the Bruins capped a perfect, six-game home stand for the Jets, the last four coming in overtime or a shootout.
