Avneet Singh Bedi on charges of land grabbing in a prime location in Sahibabad. Ghaziabad Superintendent of Police Akash Tomar said Mr. Bedi was arrested for allegedly acquiring municipal corporation land illegally. Ghaziabad Mayor Ashu Verma said 172 FIRs had been lodged against land sharks for encroachment in Ghaziabad so far. The land sharks are being identified and soon more persons will face consequences for encroaching on government land, he added.
