According to Forbes, the last-place, money-losing franchise Jones purchased for $140 million is worth $5 billion. Jones was only the third majority owner in the history of the Cowboys franchise that debuted in the NFL in 1960. That after Super Bowl championships at the end of the 1992 and 1993 seasons with 1994 ending in the NFC Championship game. The Cowboys, under general manager Jones, have been wandering in the desert ever since. Switzer and five subsequent head coaches, combined to win three playoff games since that Super Bowl victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
