As Mr. Powell's hearing wrapped up, financial markets recouped some of their earlier losses. U.S. stocks have come off their session lows, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 77 points, or 0.3%, to 25631 after falling as many as 155 points earlier. The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note was recently at 2.910%, after jumping as high as 2.923% around midday, according to Tradeweb. And the WSJ Dollar Index, which had jumped earlier in the session, was up 0.4%, a touch lower than before. What investors will watch for next: any uptick in inflation or deterioration in economic data that pushes the Fed in a surprising direction.
