Jean-Pierre Adams walked into a Lyon hospital nearly 40 years ago for knee surgery. Source: TwitterDuring his active playing days, the celebrated defender turned out for several French clubs, including Nice and Paris Saint-Germain. In 1982, aged 34, Adams walked into a Lyon hospital to undergo a routine surgery on his knee. And that would be the last time he walked, talked or even voluntarily moved any of his muscles again. Now aged 73 and a grandfather of two, Adams is incapable of nearly all voluntary movement, with his wife, Bernadette Adams, taking care of him all this while.
