The Toronto Blue Jays have signed right-handed reliever Jake Petricka to a minor-league deal. The deal, announced by the team on Thursday, includes an invitation to Major League spring training. Petricka, 29, pitched 25 2/3 innings for the Chicago White Sox last season and was 1-1 with a 7.01 earned-run average. He is 7-11 with a 3.84 ERA, 131 strikeouts and 75 walks over 178 innings through his five-year MLB career, all with the White Sox. Petricka, an Illinois native, was selected by Chicago in the second round of the 2010 draft out of Indiana State University.
