On 18 July, group company Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd agreed to sell its 500 megawatt (MW) Bina thermal power plant to JSW Energy Ltd for an enterprise value of Rs.2,700 crore. In September 2015, JSW Energy bought two hydro power assets from Jaiprakash Power for Rs.9,200 crore. An email query sent to JSW Energy and Jaypee Group on Thursday remained unanswered.
