A considerable number of politicized Ethiopians, even in Ethiopia, to tend to think that Jawar is subtly furthering ethno-religious radicalization in Ethiopia. He is seen as a hate-monger who is taking the country along the path that brought about genocide in Rwanda. For radicalized Ethic Oromo youth groups, he is rather considered as a “hero and freedom fighter.”What seem to be clear is that he commands considerable influence among radicalized Oromo youth and seem to have run his own de facto structure camouflaged within Oromo regional state.
