The 51-year-old actor and singer was asked to return to the soap for its 25th anniversary but he was unable to due to his work schedule. Next year the soap celebrates its 35th anniversary and Donovan has said that he would return, if two other of the soaps icons do as well. He has suggested he would return to Neighbours for a guest appearance if Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce agreed to join him. Speaking to Radio Times magazine Donovan said that he would make a guest appearance if it all worked out.
