(CNN) Jason Aldean recently performed in Las Vegas, two years after 58 people were killed during one of his performances. The country superstar was playing the outdoor Route 91 Harvest Festival in October 2017 when a gunman opened fire from a nearby hotel. "It's obviously something that I wouldn't wish on anybody," he said. "Going back to Vegas was something we wanted to do the right way. Aldean returned to touring soon after the shooting.
