Japan's Kento Momota has been crowned champion of the Korea Open after a tenacious final victory over Chou Tien-Chen in the finals. The 25-year-old defeated Tien-Chen of Taiwan in straight games 21-19, 21-17 to win the final which lasted for 53 minutes. Meanwhile, China's Bingjiao outclassed Thailand's Ratchanok Intanon 18-21, 24-22, 21-17 In the women's final. The South Korean pair of Kim So-Yeong and Kong Hee-Yong won the women's doubles after defeating Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan 13-21, 21-19, 21-17. Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Rian Ardianto of Indonesia beat Takeshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda 21-16, 21-17 to lift the men's doubles title.
