PHOTO: ISPR/FILEJapan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Kuninori Matsuda on Friday paid a farewell visit to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, a statement from the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. During the meeting, it added, matters of mutual interest, bilateral cooperation in various fields, overall regional situation and peace and stability in Afghanistan were discussed. The Saudi naval commander called upon the army chief at GHQ during which matters of mutual interest, regional security situation and cooperation in military and maritime domains were discussed. The ISPR added that the visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role in the Afghan situation, especially the assistance in the successful evacuation operations and pledged to continue working with Pakistan for regional peace.
