The Olympic Games are scheduled to run from 24 July – 9 August in Japan, and despite the coronavirus outbreak, which has currently caused 28 deaths in the country, the plan is it to still go ahead as planned. Sports across the globe have been postponed or cancelled in recent days, although the Olympics organisers are clearly confident that the spread of the virus will be under control in four months time. ‘I want to hold the Olympics and Paralympics perfectly, as proof that the human race will conquer the new coronavirus, and I gained support for that from the G-7 leaders,’ he said.
