The president’s office said South Korea’s National Security Council met Thursday in Seoul, with members vowing to pursue diplomatic countermeasures. South Korea’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Kim In-chul on Thursday reiterated Seoul’s demand for Tokyo to “immediately” withdraw the trade restrictions. South Korean tech company LG Display said it’s not affected by the Japanese trade restrictions.
