Japan’s Alsok to join Vietnam’s security service market


Ilustrative imageAccording to Nikkei, Japan’s security service provider Sohgo Security Service (known as Alsok) decided to buy 49 percent of shares (maximum level) of Hai Phong Royal Security Service Company, which is based in the northern port city of Hai Phong. Japan’s Alsok to join Vietnam’s security service marketVietNamNet Bridge - Alsok will become one of the leading companies in the security industry in Vietnam this September, when it buys shares of the Hai Phong Royal Security Service, the fourth largest firm in the security service industry of Vietnam, reported Nikkei. Alsok wants to provide its information technology-based security guard dispatch and remote monitoring services to the Vietnamese operations of Japanese businesses through Royal Haiphong Security Service. Alsok set up its first Vietnamese subsidiary in 2009 to sell security equipment to Japanese companies operating in the country. The Japanese firm also plans to put Hai Phong Royal Security Service’s 1,800 security guards through a training program developed in Japan and to provide its services to Vietnamese companies and government agencies.
