Jamshed Dasti handed in police custody for four days

MUZAFFARGARH: A sessions and district court in Muzaffargarh on Friday handed over former MNA Jamshed Dasti to police on four-day physical remand in an oil-tanker robbery case. Dasti was produced before the magistrate by police where the court gave him in their custody for four days. Dasti was arrested after a second case was registered against him on Feb 4 in the case. A former union council chairman, Malik Ajmal, and a trade union leader Malik Abid have also been taken into custody. On 10 April 2013, the Multan bench of Lahore High Court (LHC) heard Dasti’s appeal and overturned his conviction.
