Aston Villa defender Kortney Hause was the unlikely scorer, with the 24-year-old beating Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from close-range after an inviting cross from Douglas Luiz fell into his path. Both Redknapp and Souness were critical of Christensen’s role in the goal, however, and said the Chelsea defender failed to ‘sense the danger’.
