Boston United have signed Chesterfield defender Jamie Grimes on loan for the remainder of the season. The 35-year-old is into the final months of his contract with Chesterfield, having had a year-long option triggered last summer. Grimes captained the Derbyshire club to League Two promotion as National League title winners in 2024 and featured 42 times for them on their return to the EFL last term. The centre-half, who counts Swansea, Kidderminster and Macclesfield among his former clubs, has made just eight appearances across all competitions this season.
