But Reds legend Carragher believes the mettle of Mourinho is something that would resonate with him as a player. I think Mourinho had that real aggression to get a win, and almost win at all costs. Carragher was talking about Mourinho in his heyday, when he first came to England having won the Champions League with Porto in 2004, before leading Chelsea to their first Premier League title. Unlike his German and Portuguese rivals, his side, however, remains in the Champions League.
