James was just shy of his 90th birthday, which would have been celebrated on Feb. 9, while Elaine was approaching her 85th on March 1. As active members of the Catholic community, James and Elaine dedicated much of their lives to Our Lady of Hope Parish in Ipswich, Mass., and were enthusiastic participants in the local St. Vincent De Paul Society. James and Elaine’s legacy is one of devotion — to each other, to their family, and to service in their faith community.
