I don’t think Jesus was speaking literally. God loves all of us, no matter what we’ve done, no matter how good or how bad we are. Scripture says you can’t love God and hate other people. You can’t love God and abuse the immigrant. The commandment to love God and love neighbor is not from Christianity.
