Police say the Vancouver Island man began a string of boat thefts south of Duncan on Vancouver Island last Wednesday. RCMP say they've arrested a 25-year-old man after a suspected long weekend crime spree that went from Vancouver Island all the way to the Sunshine Coast. "We would expect this sort of crime spree to happen in a James Bond movie, not in the waters of coastal British Columbia," said Sunshine Coast RCMP Const. Police say the suspect then stole a car and drove down the Sunshine Coast to Gibsons, where he took to the water again. On Saturday, three days later, the suspect arrived at a dock in Sechelt driving an eight-metre Boston Whaler reported stolen from Salt Spring Island.
