The demand to shut down Al Jazeera as a precondition to resolving the crisis between Qatar and parts of the Arab world is not just outrageous in nature, but also preposterous because it’s being made by some of the most oppressive regimes in the world. It is also infinitely dangerous for the future of freedom in the Middle East and the world at large.
