Dr Shafiqur Rahman made the remarks while addressing a Jamaat-e-Islami election rally at Abrar Fahad Stadium in Kushtia Today. Referring to Abrar Fahad, Dr Shafiqur Rahman said the slain student symbolises Bangladesh’s independence and sovereignty. Dr Shafiqur Rahman also urged those involved in extortion after August to abandon such practices.
