Police raided a house at road 11 of Uttara's Sector 6 where the Jamaat leaders met to discuss the alleged plan on Monday night, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detective Branch Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Nazmul Alam told bdnews24.com. He said landlord Nawsher Ali was also among nine arrested during the raid. The others include former MP Mia Golam Parwar, Chittagong Jamaat chief Md Shahjahan, Secretary General Nazrul Islam, and Chittagong South unit chief Zafar Sadique. He claimed his party was 'systematic, democratic and legal’ and that the leaders met in Uttara informally. He demanded immediate release of the Jamaat leaders.
