A Dhaka court on Sunday ordered to send Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman to jail. On this day, Shafiqur Rahman was produced to court after three days of remand. Following the plea, the court ordered him to be sent to jail. Earlier, on December 13, the court granted his seven-day remand and on December 21, three-day remand. On December 13, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Deputy Commissioner (Media) Farooq Hossain informed the arrest of Dr Shafiqur Rahman.
