THE escalator on the Jalan Ampang link bridge in Kuala Lumpur that was damaged in a fire in March will be repaired soon. The management of Intermark Mall said in a statement that it has appointed a vendor for the repair works and estimated the bridge to be operational by November. Signage was put up at the station to show pedestrians the alternative route they could take. The management put up a sign at the site informing pedestrians of an alternative route to get to the mall after the link bridge became impassable due to the fire on March 7. The bridge across the busy Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Ampang intersection was constructed in 2013 at a cost of RM5mil.
