After a season of peaks and valleys, right-winger Jake Virtanen is looking for a little more consistency as he signs a new deal with the Vancouver Canucks. Virtanen and the Canucks inked a two-year, $5.1-million US contract on Thursday. "I think it's going to be a bright future for our team going forward. I know what to expect now going in to playoffs," Virtanen said. Originally drafted sixth overall by Vancouver in 2014, Virtanen has played five seasons for his hometown team.
