The ambitious Dravyawati riverfront project rushing to meet its completion deadline this August is facing the threat of delay on part of the smart corridor. The project has come as a variation to the original agreement between Jaipur Development Authority and the contractor firm. Extending the ‘smart corridor’ to present contractor firm will help in better synchronization and faster implementation, the process may get stretched for bidding if negotiations fail. Jaipur Development Authority has given a contract to a consortium of Tata Projects and Shanghai Urban Construction Group at a project cost of Rs. Addition of the smart corridor though proposes to add ‘smart components’ to the uplifted face of Dravyawati.
