January 26, 2021 by Mihi Perera No CommentsA jailor at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation and Treatment Center has been suspended for delivering illegal parcels of food to prison inmates infected with COVID-19 virus who were receiving treatment at the center. Upon receiving information that the parcel was kept in his hostel, two lighters and Rs. 10,000 were seized in addition to the food items. A preliminary investigation is currently underway into the incident and the jailer has been suspended.
