March 8, 2021 by Mihi Perera No CommentsA jailor at the Colombo Remand Prison has been interdicted for accepting bribes from three suspects who were detained at the prison, stated Prison Spokesperson Chandana Ekanayake today. He revealed that the jailor had accepted bribes over Rs. 100,000 from the suspects in exchange for providing them with better provisions at the prison and mobile phones. He has been also interdicted for trying to bribe the Superintendent of the Colombo Remand prison.
