A former Modern Education tutor jailed in May for misconduct in public office by disclosing confidential information of two Chinese Language Examinations of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education in 2016 and 2017 has been granted a bail pending appeal by the High Court today. Star tutor Weslie Siao Chi-yung, 44, and Cheung Kwok-kuen, 45, former oral examiner, were found guilty of a joint charge of conspiracy to commit MIPO. Siao was further convicted of a similar offense which he jointly faced with another former oral examiner, Ng Wang-leung, 45. Siao and Cheung were jailed for 14 months and eight months, respectively, while Ng was sentenced to five months, suspended for two years.
