Jail for suicidal mum who butchered sonA woman who murdered her five-year-old son and attempted suicide will be held for 10 days, a Nakuru Court has ruled. Senior Principal Magistrate Faith Munyi allowed Sharon Wangari, 28, to be detained as investigations into the murder of her son are yet to be concluded. Wangari who lived in Kiamaina village in Bahati, Nakuru County, reportedly murdered her son before stabbing herself in a suicide attempt. The woman is said to have stabbed her son four times in the chest using a kitchen knife on a Sunday morning. “The single mother of one turned the knife she used to kill her son on herself after seeing her son breathe his last,” reads the police report.
