Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced record revenues of £13.8bn for the period of April to September, marking a 42% increase compared to the previous year. Despite these positive results, JLR anticipates failing to meet the UK government’s zero emissions vehicle (ZEV) mandate for next year. The mandate requires 22% of total UK sales in 2022 to be electric cars. JLR currently offers only one electric vehicle, the Jaguar I-Pace, but plans to introduce its first electric Range Rover by the end of 2024. JLR aims to be prepared for the ZEV mandate in 2025 and 2026, as the targets increase to 28% and 33% electric sales in the UK, respectively.
