More than 11,000 students cast their votes in the Jadavpur University campus polls by 7pm on Wednesday. The Left and the ultra Left had been the prominent parties at JU for years. Jahangir Alam and pillion rider Khairul Molla were admitted to SSKM Hospital. Dipika Lohara was taken to SSKM Hospital. Another Madhyamik examinee, Saida Noor Fatema, a student of Crescent School, fell sick at her exam centre at Calcutta Girls’ Academy on Swinhoe Street.
