I hate the NHL trade deadline. The trade deadline brings together all that is worst about following professional team sports in the 21st century. The future is bright, the future is where a Stanley Cup might be won. Yes, the Canadiens might beat the Bolts in a seven-game series, but do you like their chances enough to splurge at the trade deadline? They don’t have 24 Stanley Cup banners dangling from the ceiling.
