Wanted for the alleged rape of a PhD scholar, Jawaharlal Nehru University student Anmol Ratan surrendered before the Delhi Police on Wednesday night. Conforming the development, Nupur Prasad, Additional DCP (South), said Ratan surrendered at Vasant Kunj (North) police station around 10 pm. The case against him has been registered at Vasant Kunj (South) police station. Ratan was evading arrest ever since a fellow JNU student on Sunday accused him of raping her in his hostel on Saturday after sedating her drink. Teams had visited the university campus as well as raided several possible hideouts in Delhi and NCR in a bid to nab him, senior officers had claimed.
