The six Bangla Bhai aides were arrested during raids in different parts of Baghmara upazila on Friday and on Saturday. They are Abul Hossain, 55, Lutfor Rahman, 48, Abdul Mannan, 45, Rohidul Islam, 43, Abdur Rashid, 34, and Abdus Sattar, 28. Formed in 1998, JMB flourished under Siddiqur Rahman alias Bangla Bhai by carrying out killings in Rajshahi region in 2004. The suicide squad member, Harunur Rashid, 32, was arrested from Haripur in Thakurgaon early on Saturday. Harun has confessed to being a member of the outfit’s suicide squad,” he added.
