A suspected militant and his associate, who supplied Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) to Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), have been detained from Ashulia, on the outskirt of Dhaka, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) says. The detainees are Imran and Rafiq. “They were detained during a drive in Ashulia on Sunday night,” RAB spokesman Mufti Mahmud Khan told the Dhaka Tribune Monday morning. “A huge stockpile of IEDs and explosives have been recovered,” he added. The elite force will disclose details about the detention at a press briefing later in the day.
