After its 2008 acquisition by Tata Motors, JLR had studied the possibility of manufacturing its vehicles in India. "Unlike the past, the discussion is currently being led out of the (JLR) HQ in the UK. The country has young population, majority of them speak in English and have a very good skill level. "Led by strong fundamentals, there should be an explosion in demand; therefore you have to be ready to participate in that transformation." It has been regularly investing 3.5-3.75 billion pounds every year on creating new products and fresh capacity.
